1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Mo's Valeting ("we", "us", "our") to you ("the customer"). By accepting a quote, confirming a booking, or otherwise instructing us to carry out work on your vehicle, you agree to be bound by these terms in full. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

2. Services

2.1 Mo's Valeting provides professional vehicle detailing, valeting, ceramic coating, paint correction, paint protection film (PPF), and associated automotive services.

2.2 Services are carried out either at our studio (Unit 7, Harrison Drive, Braintree, CM7 1DE) or at a location agreed in advance for mobile services.

2.3 We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion, including where a vehicle is in a condition that makes safe or effective detailing impossible.

2.4 All service descriptions and guide prices displayed on our website are for reference only. Final pricing will be confirmed following a vehicle inspection or detailed enquiry, as the condition of each vehicle varies.

3. Bookings

3.1 All bookings must be confirmed by us in writing (by email, text, or message) before they are considered accepted.

3.2 Submitting an enquiry or contact form does not constitute a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed once you have received confirmation from Mo's Valeting.

3.3 You are responsible for providing accurate information about your vehicle, including make, model, colour, and current condition, at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in revised pricing or cancellation of the booking.

3.4 We reserve the right to amend the agreed price if the vehicle's condition upon arrival is materially different from what was described at the time of booking.

3.5 Where a deposit is requested as a condition of booking, the booking will not be considered confirmed until the deposit has been received in full. If the deposit is not paid within the timeframe specified by us, the appointment slot may be released and offered to another customer without notice.

3.6 By booking, you confirm that you are the registered keeper or owner of the vehicle, or have the owner's express authority to have this work carried out, and that you are 18 years of age or over. We reserve the right to decline a booking where this cannot be reasonably confirmed.

4. Deposits & Payment

4.1 Standard valeting services. Full payment is due on the day of the appointment upon completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing. A deposit may be requested at our discretion for any valeting booking to secure the appointment slot.

4.2 Ceramic coating and paint protection film (PPF) services. A non-refundable deposit of a minimum of 20% of the total agreed job cost is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. The remaining balance is due within 24 hours of job completion or upon receipt of invoice, whichever is sooner.

4.3 For all other services where a deposit has been requested and paid, the remaining outstanding balance is due within 24 hours of job completion or upon receipt of invoice.

4.4 Deposits are non-refundable except in circumstances where Mo's Valeting cancels the booking (see Section 6).

4.5 We accept payment by bank transfer or cash. Payment details will be confirmed at the time of booking.

4.6 All outstanding balances must be settled within 24 hours of job completion or invoice being issued. We reserve the right to retain the vehicle until an initial payment has been agreed where balances remain outstanding.

4.7 In the event of late or non-payment beyond the 24-hour period, we reserve the right to pursue the outstanding amount through appropriate legal channels and to charge interest on overdue balances.

5. Cancellations by the Customer

5.1 If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please notify us as soon as possible by phone or email.

5.2 Cancellations made with more than 48 hours' notice will not incur a cancellation fee for standard valeting services where no deposit has been taken. Where a deposit has been paid for any service, it will be forfeited upon cancellation regardless of notice given.

5.3 Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total agreed service cost, to cover lost time and preparation, in addition to any deposit already forfeited.

5.4 No-shows (failure to attend without notice) will result in the full deposit being forfeited and may incur a charge of up to 100% of the agreed service cost.

5.5 We will always try to accommodate rescheduling where possible and will deal with each situation fairly and reasonably.

6. Cancellations by Mo's Valeting

6.1 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking in circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, equipment failure, illness, or other unforeseen events.

6.2 In the event that we cancel a booking, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer either a full refund of any deposit paid or an alternative appointment date.

6.3 Mo's Valeting will not be liable for any losses, costs, or expenses incurred by the customer as a result of a cancellation made by us.

7. Vehicle Condition & Customer Responsibilities

7.1 You are responsible for removing all personal belongings from the vehicle prior to your appointment. Mo's Valeting accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle.

7.2 You must inform us of any pre-existing damage, defects, modifications, or known issues with the vehicle (including but not limited to paint defects, previous repairs, sensitive surfaces, or aftermarket parts) before the service begins. This must be communicated in writing (by email, text, or message) and supported by photographic or documentary evidence prior to or at the time of drop-off. Verbal notification alone will not be accepted.

7.3 Failure to disclose pre-existing damage in writing and with supporting evidence will mean that any subsequent claim relating to that damage cannot be considered. Mo's Valeting will not be held liable for damage that was present prior to the service but not formally declared.

7.4 Vehicles must be made available at the agreed time and location. Late arrivals may result in a reduced service or rescheduling at our discretion.

8. Liability for Vehicle Damage

8.1 Mo's Valeting takes every reasonable precaution to protect your vehicle during all services. We carry full public liability insurance.

8.2 In the unlikely event that damage is caused to your vehicle as a direct result of our negligence, we will work with you to reach a fair resolution. This may include arranging and funding a private repair directly, arranging repair through our insurance, or contributing to the cost of rectification. The method of resolution will be at our reasonable discretion depending on the nature and extent of the damage.

8.3 We will not be liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or defects that were not disclosed at the time of booking
  • Damage caused by poorly adhering or peeling paint, body filler, or previous substandard repairs
  • Damage to vehicles with paint or surfaces in poor or compromised condition
  • Swirl marks or minor imperfections on heavily worn paintwork that cannot be fully corrected
  • Any damage caused by the customer or third parties following completion of the service

8.4 Our liability in any event is limited to the cost of the service provided. We will not be responsible for consequential losses, loss of use, or any indirect costs.

8.5 Any damage claims must be raised with us in writing within 24 hours of the service being completed. Claims raised after this period may not be considered.

8.6 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer protection law. Where a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a repeat performance, a price reduction, or a refund in accordance with your statutory rights, regardless of the limitations set out above.

9. Paint Correction

9.1 The results of paint correction vary depending on the condition of the vehicle's paintwork, the depth of defects, and the paint type. We cannot guarantee the complete removal of all scratches, swirl marks, or defects in all cases.

9.2 We will advise you of realistic expectations prior to commencing any paint correction work.

9.3 Paint correction involves the removal of a small amount of clear coat. This is normal and industry-standard. We will always work within safe limits for your vehicle's paint thickness.

10. Ceramic Coatings

10.1 Ceramic coatings are applied in controlled conditions and require proper preparation of the vehicle's paintwork beforehand.

10.2 After a ceramic coating has been applied, the vehicle must not be washed or exposed to water for a minimum of 7 days. During this curing period the vehicle must also be kept away from heavy rain, bird droppings, tree sap, and other contaminants where possible. Failure to observe this period will void any warranty associated with the coating.

10.3 To maintain any warranty on a ceramic coating, the customer must be able to provide documented evidence that the vehicle has been properly and appropriately maintained in line with our aftercare guidance. This includes but is not limited to: use of pH-neutral, ceramic-safe cleaning products; hand washing only using the two-bucket method or similar safe technique; regular top-up maintenance as recommended; and avoidance of any products or methods known to degrade ceramic coatings.

10.4 Warranty claims will not be considered where the customer cannot demonstrate, with reasonable evidence, that the vehicle has been maintained correctly. Mo's Valeting reserves the right to inspect the vehicle and assess whether the coating failure is the result of improper care before any warranty remedy is offered.

10.5 The longevity of ceramic coatings depends on the product applied, environmental conditions, and how well the vehicle is maintained. Results may vary and no specific duration of protection can be guaranteed beyond what is stated by the product manufacturer.

10.6 Any warranty associated with the ceramic coating product is subject to the manufacturer's own warranty terms and conditions, which will be provided to the customer upon completion. Mo's Valeting's liability under any warranty is limited to re-application of the coating or a partial refund at our discretion, and does not extend to any consequential losses.

11. Paint Protection Film (PPF)

11.1 PPF installation is carried out to a professional standard. Minor imperfections such as small dust particles or edge lifting can occasionally occur and may require a follow-up visit to rectify.

11.2 Following PPF installation, you must follow the aftercare advice provided to allow the film to cure fully.

11.3 Mo's Valeting is an XPEL-accredited installer. Any XPEL product warranty is subject to XPEL's own warranty terms and conditions. We will provide details of applicable warranties upon completion.

11.4 We are not responsible for PPF damage caused by incorrect washing techniques, automated car washes, pressure washing at close range, or other external factors following installation.

12. Aftercare & Maintenance

12.1 For all protection services (ceramic coatings, PPF), we will provide aftercare guidance. Following this guidance is the customer's responsibility and is essential to maintaining the performance and longevity of the product.

12.2 We strongly recommend never using any automated car wash following any detailing or protection service. This includes but is not limited to: brush or roller car washes, jet wash tunnels, hand car washes using improper techniques or non-pH-neutral products, and any service using acid-based wheel or bodywork cleaners. These methods can cause irreversible damage to paintwork, coatings, and film, and any damage caused by such methods will not be covered under warranty or any liability claim against Mo's Valeting.

12.3 The only recommended cleaning method following any protection service is careful hand washing using safe, pH-neutral, coating-compatible products and proper technique as outlined in your aftercare guidance.

13. Maintenance Washes

13.1 Where a maintenance wash plan has been agreed as part of a protection package or as a standalone recurring service, the frequency of visits will be set out at the time of booking. This may be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, or another interval agreed in writing between Mo's Valeting and the customer.

13.2 Maintenance washes are carried out to preserve the condition of the vehicle's paintwork, coatings, and/or film. A typical maintenance wash may include but is not limited to: safe pre-rinse and decontamination, pH-neutral hand wash, drying, coating inspection, and application of any top-up protection products as appropriate.

13.3 To maintain the validity of any warranty on a ceramic coating or PPF installation, maintenance washes must be carried out either by Mo's Valeting directly or by a detailer recommended or approved by us in writing. Maintenance washes carried out by the customer, an unapproved third party, or any automated car wash will not count toward warranty maintenance requirements and may void the warranty entirely.

13.4 The customer is responsible for booking maintenance washes at the agreed intervals. Mo's Valeting will send reminders where possible but cannot be held responsible if a maintenance wash is missed due to the customer failing to book.

13.5 Between scheduled maintenance washes, the customer is responsible for keeping the vehicle in a reasonable condition. This includes rinsing off bird droppings, tree sap, or other corrosive contaminants as promptly as possible. Prolonged exposure to such substances that results in damage to the coating or paintwork will not be covered under warranty.

13.6 Missed or skipped maintenance washes at the agreed frequency may result in the warranty being considered void. If you need to reschedule a maintenance visit, please notify us as soon as possible so an alternative date can be arranged without affecting your warranty status.

13.7 Maintenance wash bookings are subject to the same cancellation and deposit terms as all other services (see Sections 4 and 5).

14. Photography & Marketing

14.1 Mo's Valeting may take photographs and videos of vehicles before, during and after work is carried out, for the purposes of quality control, our portfolio, and marketing, including this website and our social media channels.

14.2 By booking a service with us, you consent to this use unless you tell us otherwise in writing before or at the time of booking. You may withdraw this consent at any time, including after images have already been used, by contacting us at info@mosvaleting.uk, and we will remove the images from future use where reasonably possible.

15. Privacy

15.1 Any personal information you provide to us (name, contact details, vehicle information) will be used solely for the purpose of managing your booking and communicating with you about our services.

15.2 We will not share your personal data with third parties except where required by law or where necessary to deliver the service (for example, our insurance provider).

15.3 For full details of how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

16. Complaints

16.1 If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible at info@mosvaleting.uk or by calling 07719 224478.

16.2 We take all complaints seriously and will aim to respond within 3 working days.

16.3 We will always try to resolve complaints fairly and reasonably. Where appropriate, we may offer a partial refund, re-do of the service, or another agreed resolution.

17. Governing Law

17.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

17.2 Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Changes to These Terms

18.1 We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website at mosvaleting.uk.

18.2 Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
