Mo's Valeting ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

Information we collect

When you use the enquiry form on this website, we collect whatever you enter: your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details, the town you're in, and any message you write. We only collect this when you submit the form yourself. We do not track you around the site to build it up passively.

How we use it

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange and carry out any booking you make, and keep reasonable records of that booking for accounting, insurance and legal purposes afterwards. We do not use your details for marketing emails or text messages, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you've chosen to send us, and, once a booking is confirmed, the necessity of processing your details to deliver the service you've asked for.

Third parties we use

We use a small number of external services to run this website. Each of them may process some of your data as part of doing so:

• Web3Forms. The enquiry form on our contact page is processed by Web3Forms, which forwards your submission to our email inbox. Web3Forms does not use your data for anything beyond that delivery.
• Google Maps. Our contact page shows a Google Map of the studio, embedded from Google. It loads as you scroll down to it, and when it does, Google receives your IP address and may collect data and store information on your device in line with its own privacy policy. The full address and a directions link are on the page as well.
• Vimeo. Our ceramic coating and paint protection film pages show short videos hosted by Vimeo. Until you press play, what you see is a still image stored on this website, and nothing is requested from Vimeo. Pressing play on a video loads that one video from Vimeo and starts it with the sound off; the others stay unloaded. Once it loads, Vimeo receives your IP address and may collect data in line with its own privacy policy. We request these videos in Vimeo’s do-not-track mode, which limits the session data Vimeo’s player tracks. It does not stop Vimeo receiving your IP address when the video loads.
• Google Fonts. The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.
• jsDelivr. A content delivery network we use to load animation software on the homepage, which similarly receives your IP address as part of the request.

None of these services are used by us to build an advertising profile of you, and we don't run any advertising or analytics tracking of our own on this site.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own, and uses no analytics or advertising tracking.

The Google Map and the Vimeo videos are embedded content that may store information on your device when they load. Because we chose to place them here, that is our responsibility and not something we can pass to the provider. The map loads when you scroll to it on the contact page. Each video loads only when you press play on it. If you never press play, nothing is requested from Vimeo.

Google Fonts and jsDelivr are different: they deliver typefaces and animation code, and do not store anything on your device, but the request itself tells them your IP address. These load with the page.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with it, and afterwards for a period consistent with our accounting, insurance and legal obligations, typically no longer than six years, unless we're required to keep it for longer by law.

Where your information goes

Your enquiry is sent to our email inbox through Web3Forms. The other services above are only involved if you load the map or a video, or because your browser requests fonts and code from them. Some of these providers are based outside the UK, or process data outside it, so using this website can involve an international transfer. Each one sets out its own arrangements in its own privacy policy, and we have linked to those where we can.

If you would prefer not to use the form at all, you can call or email us directly using the details above.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@mosvaleting.uk.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

This website and our services are not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be the one published on this page.
